The Neo-Patriots Party is not affiliated with any other political party, especially the republicans, or democrats.  We believe that these two dominant political parties have rendered themselves impotent in the business of running this nation.  We also believe the US congress has become an embarrassment to the United States, that their constant bickering, finger pointing and inability to compromise is the primary reason that the credit rating of the US was reduced.  The last time a third party emerged for change, it was absorbed by the republican status quo.  We are determined not to let that happen.
We are sick and tired of the mud slinging, innuendos, and outright lies.  We have had enough of the richest candidate being the one that gets elected, regardless of qualifications or ideas.  We have had it with the representatives we send to Washington, being more interested in their own re-election efforts, and paying favors back for big campaign contributors at our expense.  These representatives have been working for lobbyists and PACs instead of We the People.  We will not sit back, and silently put up with their blatant self interests any more.
Responsibility
The US government has a responsibility to be financially responsible to its people.
Just as the American people are not allowed to spend more money than they can responsibly re-pay, so to must the federal government.  Therefor, the deficit of the United States can never be greater than 1 trillion dollars.
The US government is required to have a budget prepared and passed every year.  Spending must be planned and accounted for, just as in every private business or corporation.
Social Security and Medicare are not a fund.  They are a trust paid into over a lifetime by American working people.  The federal government is nothing more than the steward of this trust.  To borrow from or against it is theft, plain and simple.  Any person who has paid into this trust for enough periods to justify payments, due to retirement or disability are entitled by law to have them, be it today, next year, or fifty years down the road.  It is the responsibility of the US government to guarantee its solvency.
Aid to foreign nations shall cease until such time as the US deficit is below the 1 trillion dollar limit.
Interests in companies that should be financed by the private sector must be sold.  These interests include but are not limited to; General Motors (and any other auto company), Amtrack, and the United States Postal Service.  Further bail outs of private firms are prohibited, as the US is a free market economy and the market dictates what survives, what grows, and what businesses close.
The federal government shall;
Consider the use of foreign oil a national security risk, and either facilitate an increase of domestic production, and, or facilitate development of feasible, affordable, renewable energy sources.
Ensure that US boarders are secure, and that the influx of immigrants is in control.
Gaining this control requires the simplification and streamlining of the processes regarding legal immigration, obtaining and extending green cards, gaining citizenship, and clear and concise instructions how to get questions answered.
Ensure that reasonable controls are in place to protect the environment, including endangered species, and control of carbon emissions.
Accountability

Serving in the US congress is a privilege, not a gravy train.  Certain changes are to be instituted immediately as a means of financial, and ethical, controls.
Annual salaries of US congress people should be seen as a token, and shall be no greater than the US minimum wage times forty hours times fifty two weeks.
US congress people shall not receive retirement packages or secret service details after their term of service.
US congress people shall be limited to two terms of service to encourage the fresh flow of ideas.
Campaign contributions will be made into one general fund and distributed evenly among all eligible candidates to ensure no conflict of interest.
US congress people are forbidden from receiving any gifts or services greater than fifty dollars in value.  These rules include meals, travel, lodgings, etc. in order to ensure integrity and impartiality.
No US congress person may personally benefit financially from sponsored legislation, beyond that of ordinary Americans.  If a US congress person is suspected of improper financial gains, and two members of that US congress person’s organization (be it the house or senate) file a complaint, a review will be conducted by a board of governors from all 50 US states.  If the governors feel that improper financial gains were received by the US congress person in question, then the leader of either the state house, or state senate will step into the role as representative, or senator until an election can be held in the state to elect a replacement representative.
Financial Stability

The tax system of the United States will be simplified.
Private individuals will pay a 10% flat income tax.  There will be no deductions.
Social security and disability benefits will not be subject to tax.
Corporations and businesses will pay 15% income tax.  Deductions are limited to job creation.
Businesses and corporations that increase US jobs 1% or greater of their overall workforce, with average salaries of not less than the median for the company overall will have their corporate taxes reduced to 10%.
Business and corporations that increase US Jobs 5% or greater of their overall workforce, with average salaries of not less than the median for the company overall will have their corporate taxes reduced to 10%.
Business and corporations that increase US Jobs 10% or greater of their overall workforce, with average salaries of not less than the median for the company overall will pay no federal income tax.
There will be no other deductions for businesses.
First time business owners will pay no federal tax for the first three years of operation.
Capital gains, and inheritance tax (including inherited trusts) will be taxed at 10%.
Any product manufactured outside the US, imported into the US for sale, will be subject to a 15% tax.
The military budget will be reviewed and scrutinized by a board of sitting and retired generals, support personnel, and their chiefs of staff, to eliminate outdated spending, ensure that current, necessary equipment (e.g. body armor) is included, as well as review pending expenditures.  They will also scrutinize proposed purchases, and awarded contractors, to ensure that proper competitive bid processes were followed, and no contracts were awarded that produced improper financial gains.  Included in the review will be:
Number, location, and technological readiness of existing bases and the condition of these facilities.
Balance of existing weapons depots, condition of weapons, relevance, location, and readiness.
Personal Freedom

The federal government is to stay out of the private lives of it’s citizenry.  It’s quite clear that the US congress has too much to do now, as it cannot debate, and pass or reject legislation now in a timely manner.
This includes their choice to worship, pray, or demonstrate their faith as long as it adheres to the laws of their state, and a general vote of that state, or locality’s citizens.
The federal government is to stay out of people’s bedrooms.  Who and how people express themselves sexually is not the business of the federal government.  So long as the participants are consenting, legal adults and within the law.
The federal government is to stay out of individuals medical decisions.  This is the business of the individual and their doctor so long as state laws are upheld.
The federal government is to stay out of censoring the internet unless content is in violation of law.
The federal government should defer to State governments in matters such as education, research, and other socially related, domestic matters.

In my case I would replace "disdain" with "skeptical".

It's hard to disdain what could be the best government in the world, as flawed as it.  Plus it's hard to "disdain" something we created and have a chance to improve.
