A lot of people get rich off of social programs. It's almost by design given that, depending on how you define social program, it amounts to 20ish percent of the nation's GDP. That's a lot of wealth creation. Recipients don't stuff their payments in their mattresses, it hit's the economy immediately through consumption.
I don't have a problem how a person get's rich as long as it's legal. That fact that the Trump family made a portions of it's fortune off of welfare doesn't bother me at all.
