The injuns did that to each other, too.
If you read the Declaration of Independance you will read that one of the reasons is that the King would not protect the people from the injuns. If you read up on injun history, they were not victims they would have you believe.

The indian warriors were not angels.
But I suppose I can use your logic and say the wedding parties were at fault for being in the vicinity of combatants. The point is you can't prosecute a war without atrocities, and we have being in a war our whole existence.
